CASTLEFIELD SHIELD 2006 SUB JUNIOR TOURNAMENT
Monash City JSC has been invited to the prestigious Castlefield Shield hosted by Sandringham Junior Soccer Club on Saturday 9 September 2006. Eight of the most competitive junior football clubs in Melbourne are invited to participate in a one day Gala event which is one of the very few times that sub-junior players can play football in a competitive environment..

Monash City will be sending a SINGLE representative team for each of the following age groups:

• Under 8 (born 1998)

• Under 9 (born 1997)

• Under 10 (born 1996)

The establishment of these representative sides is an important first step for players interested in joining advanced squads for 9s, 10s and 11s in 2007.

Monash City coaches should nominate their strongest players to attend trials by Friday 18 August to Mr Steve Andrejic (Sub-junior Coordinator) at email steveandrejic@optushome.com.au.

Two (2) trial sessions will be held the week beginning Monday 28 August 2006. Squads will be announced on Thursday 31 August. A practice game for each representative side will be organized for Saturday 2 September. Further training sessions will occur prior to the event.

Note, as the 2006 season will be completed, advanced players from other clubs intending to join Monash City in 2007 are also welcome to attend trials, please register your interest with Steve Andrejic at the above email.

Coaches and managers for each representative side will be announced in the next couple of weeks.
