CHAMPIONSHIP SETBACK IN U13 SUPER LEAGUE
The Monash U13 Super League suffered a setback in the race for the 2006 championship after falling to Box Hill Inter by 1 - 0. The game was a Round 10 catch-up match and was tightly contested in front of an impressive gathering at Wembley Park. Monash had the better of the first half and were comfortably holding the game to see out a draw to keep them 1 point at the top of the ladder, however with just 8 minutes remaining an unfortunate deflection off a free kick allowed the ball to fall invitingly to the opposition for a smash and grab win. The loss puts Box Hill on top by 2 points but with 3 games remaining race is still on.
