Monash U12 Mitch Beamishe and U13 players Michael Horsfield and Marcus Schroen have been selected for their respective age groups to represent Victoria at the National Futsal Championships. U13 Goalkeeper Jamie Dimopoulos was unlucky not to win the keeper position to travel to Canberra but is on stand-by if needed.

Futsal is the only official FIFA recognised indoor soccer competition. It was developed in Brazil where it is a popular sport that can be played professionally.

Competing States and Territories will be vying to be named Futsal champions of Australia, which will be decided across a multitude of age groups, both male and female. There will also be teams from New Zealand and the Solomon Islands appearing at the five-day tournament which commences on January 8.
The competition brings together the best Futsal players from around Australia competing in age groups from under 10 boys and under 11 girls to open age men and women.

Details and all results from the championships can be found at the below
