Congratulations to the under 9's on winning their age group at the Springvale White Eagles Easter tournament.
The team was determined and focused to go all the way this time after narrowly losing the previous final at the Melbourne knights tournament..

On the first day the team struggled a little with accuracy and only beat Doveton 1 – 0 despite creating numerous scoring chances but on the second and third day the team settled and made the most of their domination in possession and constant pressure to beat South Melbourne 6-1 and the host team 5-0..
The Grand final was a tougher task as Sandringham was a little more organized in defense and proved to be difficult to break down but in the end they succumb to the constant barrage of shots and free flowing forward movements..
Final score 2-1..

The Under 10 again fell at the final hurdle despite maintaining possession of the ball for long periods. In the end accuracy in front of goal was the deciding factor..
Coach Manni Katakis commented after the game that although disappointed at the result There is more to learn from a loss than a win!...

Doncaster Rovers                 2-0
Springvale White Eagles 2     5-1
Sandringham                       3-1
Springvale White Eagles 1     1-3 GF
