The Club is delighted to announce that Matthew Gordon and Tom Green have made the final U13 Victorian Metro State Squad. Both boys have endured weeks of selection trials and will now head to the Friendship Games in NSW during the July school holidays. The tournament goes for 1 week and involves the best state metropolitan and country region representative teams from around Australia.

In other State squad news, Jordon Michaelis, James Muscara and Marcus Schroen have reached the final 30 stage of the U14 Victorian Metro State Squad selection process. The boys head for a weekend camp at Mount Martha in late June, then they will be informed of the final team that heads to Coffs Harbour for the National Championships in September 2007. At this Championship, all U14 boys will be talent identified with the hope of being selected for Australia's first U15 World Cup squad to play in 2008.

The only female player of our U13 Super League squad, Ashley Brown, will also represent Victoria in the Girls State team at Coffs Harbour. Ashley is still training 3 or 4 times a week with female players of Victoria's National Training Centre and plays games against U14 Super League Boys teams with the NTC squad most Wednesday evenings.

Best of luck to all players.
