In the first action packed weekend of the Nike Manchester United Premiership Cup, Monash U15s have topped Group B and now play North Caulfield in the Elimination Final of the last 16 teams in Victoria. A win would see them advance into the last 8 Quarter Final probably against Mornington. The eventual winners of the Victorian competition will play the winners of NZ, NSW and Northern NSW to play off to represent the Pan Pacific Region at Old Trafford in Manchester.

Monash played Green Gully in the showcase opening game on Saturday 8 March and defeated the 2007 U14 Super League Champions by 2 - 1. A crowd of about 300 spectators surrounded the entire ground to witness the cream of Victoria's U15 talent go head to head. In the second game on Saturday, Monash defeated Preston Lions 3 - 1, and on Sunday 9 March the squad finished top of their group with an emphatic 6 - 0 win over Geelong. Updates on Monash's progress through the tournament will be posted next week.
