Monash City prides itself on preparing players for pathways to the higher levels of football. In recent weeks, two of our U15 players, Chris Frangou and Billy Liolios have been trialing at two major professional clubs in Belgium and have made a significant impression. The boys report that the football lifestyle in Belgium is fantastic and they will be considering an invitation to return at some time in the near future. Both Chris and Billy, along with their U15 team mates Alistair Bray, Curran Ferns, Stelios Konstantinidis, James Muscara and Marcus Schroen were also invited to recent triale for possible scholarships to attend the Victorian Institute of Sport in 2008. Our U13 player , Matthew Karak was also invited to be assessed with a select group of promising younger players. We wish the boys best of luck with their trial processes.
